Last updated: June 2026   Effective: June 2026   Questions? vazirk@gmail.com

By creating a TurfRunner account, you are agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between your campaign and TurfRunner.

1. What TurfRunner Is

TurfRunner is a web based campaign canvassing platform. It helps political campaigns and community organizations manage door to door outreach, log voter contacts, coordinate volunteers, and generate AI powered campaign briefings. The service is available at turfrunner.ca to campaigns operating in the United States and Canada.

2. Who Can Use TurfRunner

To use TurfRunner you need to:

3. Your Account

3.1 Campaign Administrator

When you sign up you become the Campaign Administrator. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including what your volunteers do inside the platform.

3.2 Volunteers

You can invite volunteers to join your campaign. Their access is scoped entirely to your campaign and nothing else. You are responsible for making sure your volunteers understand and follow these terms.

3.3 Keeping Your Account Secure

Keep your login credentials private. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, let us know right away at vazirk@gmail.com.

4. Plans and Payment

4.1 Available Plans

TurfRunner offers three plans:

4.2 How Payment Works

Paid plans require a single upfront payment, processed manually or through Stripe. Prices are in USD for US campaigns and CAD for Canadian campaigns unless we agree otherwise in writing.

4.3 Refunds

Once your paid plan is active and you have accessed the platform, payments are not refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law or at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.

4.4 When Your Plan Expires

Your plan covers one election cycle, starting from activation and ending when your election is complete. After that, your campaign is marked as finished. You will have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted. No refund is provided for unused time within the cycle.

5. What You Can and Cannot Do

You agree to use TurfRunner only for lawful purposes. In particular, you agree not to:

6. Who Owns Your Data

You own the voter contact data your campaign collects. TurfRunner does not claim any ownership over it.

By using the service, you give TurfRunner a limited license to store and process your campaign data solely for the purpose of running the service for you. That license ends when your data is deleted.

You are responsible for making sure your collection and use of voter contact data complies with all applicable privacy and elections laws in your jurisdiction.

7. Third Party Integrations

TurfRunner connects with third party services including Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Anthropic, Twilio, and Google Maps. Using features powered by these services means you are also subject to their terms. TurfRunner is not responsible for the actions or availability of third party services.

SMS messaging and canvass map features require you to supply your own API credentials for Twilio and Google respectively. You are responsible for complying with their terms and for any costs you incur on those platforms.

8. AI Features

The AI Campaign Briefings and AI Conversation Coach features are powered by Anthropic's Claude. AI generated content is meant to inform and support your strategy, not replace your judgment. TurfRunner does not guarantee that AI generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose. Please verify anything important before acting on it.

9. Intellectual Property

TurfRunner and everything that makes it up β€” including the software, source code, algorithms, database structure, user interface design, trademarks, and all written content β€” is the exclusive property of TurfRunner and is protected by copyright, trade secret, and other applicable intellectual property laws in Canada and the United States.

9.1 What You May Not Do

Unless you have our prior written permission, you agree not to:

9.2 Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right to monitor use of the platform to detect unauthorized access, scraping, or misuse of our systems. Violations of this section may result in immediate account termination and may expose you to civil and criminal liability under applicable intellectual property and computer fraud laws, including but not limited to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (US) and the Criminal Code of Canada.

9.3 Your Content

You retain ownership of the campaign data, policies, and other content you create inside TurfRunner. You grant TurfRunner a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you. This license ends when your data is deleted.

10. Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TURFRUNNER'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND.

11. Your Responsibility to Us

You agree to protect TurfRunner and its team from any claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your failure to comply with applicable law, including laws governing voter contact and canvassing.

12. Ending the Relationship

We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or if your conduct is harmful to others or to the platform. You can close your account at any time by emailing vazirk@gmail.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund.

13. Governing Law

For Canadian campaigns, these terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. For US campaigns, they are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. If a dispute arises and we cannot resolve it through good faith conversation within 30 days, it will be submitted to binding arbitration under the applicable rules.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will email all active campaign administrators at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use TurfRunner after that date means you accept the updated terms.

15. Questions

We are real people and easy to reach. Email us at vazirk@gmail.com with any questions.
